August Moon is a women's boutique located in the East Passyunk neighborhood of Philadelphia.
August Moon Co. originated as a handmade jewelry brand, founded as a hobby-turned-side biz in 2017 by Kristina Gaglianese. Her delicate designs using gemstones and 14k gold-filled materials were predominately sold online, while Kristina simultaneously worked a full time job in corporate fashion. In the Summer of 2021, she was presented with an opportunity to open a Brick and Mortar boutique in Philadelphia - a lifelong dream of hers. After working in the fashion industry for years - both at corporate & small business levels - she decided to take the leap, leave her 9-5 job, and put her full heart and soul into her own business. August Moon Co. evolved and became a full women's clothing boutique, in addition to housing her handmade jewelry line.

Our Buying Philosophy
Our philosophy behind Apparel Buying is to curate an assortment that is versatile + neutral, while still unique + on trend:
✦ We follow trends, but don't chase every single one.
✦ We pay attention to seasonality, but don't believe you should have entirely separate wardrobes.
✦ We choose occasion-wear with intention, and encourage you to get creative + find different ways to wear those items, because we don't believe you should have garments in your closet that you only wear once.
Additionally, we carry brands that match our own values - often smaller batch production, women or minority owned, domestic or sustainable manufacturing, charitable or socially aware. While not every brand can check each box, we feel we have curated a special selection of brands and products that reflect at least one of our core values. Supporting other small businesses is one of our top priorities!
